How to Get PC-Level WPS Office on Xiaomi Pad 8 (Region and Update Guide)

Xiaomi’s page also describes the Pad 8 as powered by Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Your tablet may have received a newer version since then.⁶

Confirm it’s a Pad 8, not a Pad 8 Pro. Check Settings > About tablet (labels can vary).³

On October 26, 2026, WPS announced WPS for Pad, an Android-native desktop-style edition, in the Xiaomi App Store for Xiaomi tablets upgraded to HyperOS 4. It’s a different app from WPS Office PC.⁹ Citing WPS community information, the report names the Xiaomi 18 Fold and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max as the first devices; the Pad 8 isn’t named.¹⁰

Use it only if your Pad 8 is offered HyperOS 4 through its official updater and the Xiaomi App Store then lists WPS for Pad as compatible. Don’t install it from APK sites.^9,8

If it’s not available: use standard WPS Office

Search for WPS Office and check that the listing is offered by WPS SOFTWARE PTE. LTD. with the app ID cn.wps.moffice_eng.⁵

This gives you mobile-style editing. The listing says the app contains ads and in-app purchases. It doesn’t turn into the PC edition, and Xiaomi’s three-language note is about WPS Office PC, not this app.^5,2
